  1. Ciao. Sounds like the travel bug got ya!  Congratulations, welcome to gypsy angst.  Well, it sounds like you loved Greece, and for me I think it's the most special place on earth!  So, even though Italy is one of the most desired visiting places in Europe, for me Greece is hands down the winner in all the world, actually, call me prejudice.  However, Italy should be 2d on anyone's list thereafter -- you will be fortunate if you can go -- I wish you best in that -- I would have so many suggestions, even though I haven't visited a whole lot of different locations.  I'd like to ask you where you went in Greece, and how much time would you have, traveling alone or with, time of year, things like that -- do youth hostels, eat from grocery stores, pack small but complete, all's expensive, but so's the world over, just be prepared - eating out is kind of prohibitive unless you really got bucks, or know how to eat out in Italy; read series, Lonely Planet, Rick Steeve's, Eyewitness.  Happy trails.  (plug for: Naples, most interesting, but must be super alert -- shouldn't be your first city, but shouldn't be forgotten either - other must see is Florence for the Uffici Museum, Rome of course for all of its 'splendor' and of course one always dreams of Venice, but I was satisfied with just 2 days there - tourist town; itinerary if 2 weeks:  Rome 5 days, Florence 3 days, Naples 4 days (includes Amalfi) ruogh approx sched, can fit in a ferry ride to Capri or Ischia.  Don't prepurchase rail or other tickets. I had a 'tough time' first time in live in 2007-perhaps politics, perhaps I'm oversensitive, so being aware could only make for a better trip.  Mangia!

  2. Try the Italian section

  3. well here's some advice for if you eat out. 1. if you can't make yourself burp then you need to drink a lot of soda during the meal because a burp means that the meal was good in Italy. 2. if you are getting full leave some food on your plate or they will keep bring out more food.

If you are worried about your clothes not fitting in they wear the same kinds of clothes as us so don't worry. They do like tpo wear high heels a lot though.

take something to keep you entertained  because it is a long trip.

You should go in between april and may or  october and november. You shouldn't go  during august because that is when most Italin people take vaction in August and most shops ect. will be closed.

East of scily there is a volcano  you should vist. But be careful because it is an active valcano. DON'T FALL IN!!!!

Euro is  the money in Italy. One euro is dived into 100 cents. You can get your  american dollars changed into euro at banks or post offices. It will cost you about 100- 150 euro a day to eat out sleep at a hotel ect. It will double th price if you want to rent a car.
