Italy trip itinerary - milan, verona, venice, rome, florence, pisa?

Question

I need comments on my itinerary:

1st day: arrive in milan 3pm

2nd day: milan

3rd day: verona

4th and 5th day: venice

6th, 7th, 8th day: rome

9th day: florence, lucca?

10th day: pisa then fly off at 12noon

I also want to take some tours and wonder if there's any advice?

You need 1 day in Venice and maybe 2 days in Florence. I'm not sure you can visit Pisa on your last day though.

You can visit Venice in one day only. If you save that day, maybe you want to visit Siena after Florence. There's a wonderful medieval town to see

Most of this is certainly possible. You'll be doing a lot of moving around, but the travel times mostly aren't too bad. You could use the night train between Venice and Rome to save a little sightseeing time. The only issues will be the 9th and 10th days. I normally recommend that people who want to see Pisa go there in the morning and then move on to Lucca for the rest of the day. However, I would pick Florence over Lucca every time and not try to split time between the two. The last day could also be tight. If your flight is at noon, you'll need to get to Pisa pretty early in order to see anything before you go. The tower is about a 20 minute walk each way from the train station.

You won't have a lot of time for tours other than in Rome. Personally, I would look into something with a little less travel involved and more sightseeing time - like flying into Verona or just going directly to Verona from Milan and adding the day to Florence.

Onestly, I'm italian but i don't like milan because you don't see any monuments, I suggest you to visit lake garda it's wonderful. Verona, Venice Rome and Lucca it's ok. I think that rome you have to visit in 2 days, and in the end in tuscany you have to visit siena and volterra there are so beautiful medieval place.
