Italy vs. France build-up – Paul Derbyshire comes back – Six nations update
Paul Derbyshire the Italian flanker has recovered completely and is back in form to join in for the upcoming fixture against France this weekend. Treviso forward will be called on to the frontline for the first time in this years’ Six Nations and to coach
Nick Mallet’s great relief Derbyshire will be controlling his specialized position after a long time.
Derbyshire himself seems to be very positive about this and is looking forward to provide Italy with his services and skills. He said, “I am working hard on being all set if Nick Mallett wants to use me all the way through the Saturday's match. I am physically
hundred per cent ready.”
He added, “I have only taken a little bit of time to find the rhythm with the squad considering I have not played for Italy since the November Tests.”
After such a long break this might be difficult for the individual and French attack has been fearsome throughout the Six Nations this year.
On the other hand, Micro Bergamasco, who plays as a wing in club rugby for Racing Metro in Paris will show up for his national side. He will be joined by a few other faces on Saturday in Rome for Italy, in an important clash for Italy and France both.
Bergamasco told that he will be taking his opponents as rivals and would be making full use of the opportunity provided to him to thrash the French. Though, he believes that it is going to be a very tough clash and his team will have to blend in their efforts
to bring out the desired result. Bergamasco has been playing with the French players and believes he knows their game play and mind sets.
He said, “I expect a dreadfully hard match and we will have to inflict our pace from the begining. We have to move toward this fixture in the right way. We are not thinking of our past games.”
Bergamasco concluded, “We are just focusing on the job in sight, in order to get ready for the match next to France.”
Nick Mallet will be announcing the final squad and the changes on Thursday, though the above two changes are confirmed till the next update comes. This will be a must-win for Italy in order to avoid their second wooden spoon in Six Nations track record.
