  1. Wear whatever you want.  No one in Italy is going to care what you wear.

  2. wutever u want

  3. Good thing I have a good fashion sense and my friends call me fashionistas because when I was in Europe I didn't look like a tourist.

There the handbag and shoes are very important elements of an outfit.  Their style is very chic and sophisticated.  They take real pride and an effort in how they look unlike Americans that look sloppy and love to wear jump suits (jogging/sport gear). If you wear that, USA clothing, shorts, and sneakers then it's a dead give away that your a tourist.

*I would suggest packing tank tops t-shirts (white, black, and the in season colors: yellow, orange, green, purple)

*Perhaps 2 pairs of pants (Khakis: tan/olive, Jeans: Dark blue and black skinny jeans)

*A light cardigan for when you feel it's a bit chilly: white/black

    *Lots of summer dresses

    *Shoes: clogs, dressy sandals

*Leggings: black, brown, white and perhaps the in-season colors if your bold and daring (yet Europeans aren't into loud colors)

*chunky jewelry in the in-season colors

Keep in mind though, when you're vistiting historic Catholic Churches you may not enter wearing tank tops, showing to much skin (like shorts) because it's considered disrespectful...but if you do cover up with like I mentioned abve wearing the light cardigan.

  4. LOL ! When I'm there in the summer, I hate to see tourists wearing their "Birkenstock" sandals with socks but since you are 16, wear comfortable and fashionable clothes. If you go in August or July, take "linen clothes" with you since it can get very hot during the day or "light jeans" and yes, very comfortable shoes for the "sightseeing purposes". Have a great trip and enjoy !

Remember, you are in the "Capital of fashion" !!!

    Ciao !!

  5. i'm italian.

if you wanna be fashion, don't wear like an english or worst... like a german :)))

not true that italians don't care about your dress, that's often the first thing a person look.

we usually wear casual during the day (with brands, always with brands), and elegant in the night clubs.

the most fashionable brands now are: hogan as shoes, armani, gucci, vuitton bags (that i personally hate), disquared, guess, polo sport bags, liu jo, carlaG, and many others, if you wanna buy something i suggest you to buy it here, are cheaper, and you can found on girl something you like, and looking for it.

anyway dress with your style, but not in a ridiculous way or everybody'll laugh about. :)

if u wanna some other suggestion you can contact me in pvt, enjoy your trip :)

  6. just be yourself and wear your favourite things ... I don't know about Italy, but in the UK frills and printed fabrics with flowers on it seem to be in fashion this summer

  7. You should wear what you feel comfortable in and what you normally wear in a hot summer. Don't change your dress sense when you travel. Many Italians are unfashionable if that's what you're worried about.
