Question:

Italy....where to go?

I want do do something nice for my partents by sending them on an all expenses paid weekend to Itally....but I've two problems: 1.i dont know what part and 2. the price. Im only 16 so as you can imagne i dont have alot to spend but i could probably save up ta about 400 to pay for hotel. does any one know what area i should send them that isnt to expercive. Bare in ming thayed probly like some where with history an culure there not to botered on shoping. Oh and they'd be travelling from Ireland

  1. Anywhere but Riminni or Ricione. Dirty beach and tons of mossies the size of an eagle. Down south - east is really beautiful and not many tourists. Or Sicily -Sardinia is a good option too.


  2. While I absolutely loved Venice - it is expensive. I'd avoid that one unless you wanted to get a B&B somewhere outside of Venice with decent train or bus service to the islands.  Venice and Pisa are the only 2 places I've actually stayed in Italy. Pisa is nice but after you've seen the tower, and the other buildings in the complex, and maybe the Jewish Cemetary, you kind of run out of places to see. There is a church by the river there with all kinds of heads carved into it. I can't remember the name but it was fascinating. It kind of depends on what your folks like. Are they interested in warm beaches, or mountains or great great food? Sorry I'm not much help.
