Itch when running?

why do my legs start to itch when i am running??..both outside and on the tredmill. its usually right on my thighs.{{im a girl..}}

  1. Could be caused by the skin rubbing, the sweat, or what you wear while running.


  2. Good answers, so far. Another possibility is razor burn. If you notice the itch/burn the day or even day after shaving, try a different shave cream, or other method of exfoliation.

    But usually chafing caused by clothing or sweaty skin rubbing are the main culprits.

  3. Could be the blood circulating or probably irritation from the rubbing. If you wear similar pants every time it happens maybe you should try something different

  4. I believe it is the muscle fibers in your legs getting the circulation going.  If you have just started running, this can happen.  It could also be the clothes you are wearing but chaffing from clothes tends to happen when you cover alot of mileage.
