  1. Best deals for hostels in Europe is at

    http://www.hihostels.com

About 18 to 20 Euro per night. Clean and generally well run often in city centres and the staff can help you with reservations at your next port of call. You can book on line and only a 5% deposit is required. You will need a credit card for this. Usually the maximum is 7 consecutive nights at any one hostel. No big problem as most cities have more than one.

Have fun. I use them regularly.

  2. oh man do it! do it!!

soon im embarking on m y 3rd backpacking trip around europe

    it is amazing

just save as much as you can from now until then. dont go out as much., dont have expensive dinners and just save!

Looka t doing a contiki if you dont have a friend to go with cos then you dont have to plan everything yourself but in the end thats half the fun in doing it.

Depends on how much you have.

some hostels are $30 a night and you can find cheap food. Travel in europe by train is a bit more expensive than other places but flights are cheap especially ifyou look at easy jet.

I hope you do it- it will change you!!

  3. With the weak dollar, it is difficult to spend less than $75 per day in Western Europe.

You might try spending most or all of your time in Eastern Europe, where things are much cheaper.

  4. google europe contiki tours

they like gather like minded travellers for a rushed tour of europe. its safe, cheap and not too hard to plan. perfect for beginners.

after tour, there will be places you really liked, or things you wanted to see more etc... thats when you could try something abit harder?

You could grab a friend, plan your own trip, but its harder and after months of being with the same person.... could go abit nutz?

contiki tours are good because you can solo and make new friends aie...  but dont just go by yourself like totally unprepared... dun wanna be sexist, but being a girl, it has more risk you know what i mean? take somebody you know, or join a tour.

  5. You can save for a ticket on a chartered flight, buy a bicycle and travel.  You can also join a humanitarian group who are planning a trip.

  6. Yeah, buy a plane ticket, and only bring what you can carry on your back and stay at hostels, and just travel all around it wont be class A traveling, but you will get a great experience and meet alot of great people.

  7. go to efcollegebreak.com. They have a ton of different European tours catered especially to us young poor travelers. I went on the Italy tour and it was amazing. They aren't strict and you travel with people 18-25. They have one to Greece, an all over Europe tour that goes like 10 places or something. They have barcelona, paris, london. Whatever you're fancy is they have a trip. It's fun because you can go off on you're own or go on guided tours. They give you plenty of options for nightclubs or beaches or restaurants. Basically you should check out the sight because they explain it better than i do! lol they also give you the itinerary for each day.

This is the cheapest, best ways I've found to travel to places I never thought I could. I'm going on the Greek Island Hop trip next summer. Oh and use this promo code: canedo 2153, when booking because it saves you money on your trip!! hope this helped

  8. go to vegas...

  9. Anything is possible - what's the worst that can happen ? You run out of money and return home. My first suggestion is of course have a return ticket. Secondly backpack around staying in hostels or cheap accommodation. Try and hook up with some other backpackers because you'll find that bunking in together is cheaper. Travelling alone is always more expensive. Have big breakfasts and small dinners. Buy food from local markets and supermarkets. Take a bag with you as most supermarkets in Europe charge for plastic bags. If the worst comes to worst sleep on beaches and in train stations, I did and there were plenty of others there with me. Your best bet is to find a job in a pub or cafe' or restaurant. Depending on where you go, usually the proprietor will do a deal where he/she will accommodate you as well as give you pay you. Failing all of that, find a sugar daddy !!!

    Have a great trip !!!
