Itchy nipples? please read???

Question

All of a sudden both my nipples itch bad, one leaked a little bit of something. we are using the same detergent that we have been using so its not anything to do with that.

what could be causing this? please help.

bad bra lining...that's what happens to me

you don't have to be pregnant for your breast to leak. If you're on any type of hormone and your breast are stimulated (scratching) then they can leak. It happened to me several years ago

maybe your bra is dirty..

im tempted to think taht your lactating and pregnant but then you probably would have mentioned that fact.

If there are blotches and redness you could have a rash such as poison sumac or poison ivy.

Sometimes hair on the nipples (even women have it) causes irritation. Its not unheard of to gently shave there if nenecessary

Either way, I recommend calamine lotion. It does wonders to cool and soothe any itch and pain.

u need to see a doc.  it could just be some kind of infection, but it could be cancer (worst case senario)

I hate when that happens. It can also be dry skin. put some lotion on it and if it doesn't get better in a couple days call your doctor.

That is the question.. are you pregnant? Otherwise is your breast itchy as well.

  I ask cause when I was 13 I was at a friends house for the night and woke up to this itchy hot feeling in my left breast mainly around the nipple. It turned out to be a blocked milk duct and had turned into an infection..Mastitis. I was not on birth control and defiantly hadn't had s*x but I still got it. The doctor was surprised but said it can happen.

  With the secretion I think that it is. Is it red and hot? See your doctor because if it is you can get really sick if untreated. All you'll need is a course of antibiotics.
