Itchy scalp ,relaxer & washing my hair. HELP!!!!?

First of I'm african american, so i you know about black hair then please help.

My scalp is very itchy and I want to put a relaxer in very soon. The only problem is I know that before you put a relaxer in your not suppose to scratch your head a lot. I would wash my hair to make the itching stop, but I'm also aware that your not suppose to wash your hair prior to a relaxer. Can someone please give me advice of how to make the itch go away without having to wash my hair, or if I do wash my hair how long should I wait to put my relaxer in? Would september 2nd be To soon to apply my relxer if i washed my hair today?

wash your hair today and wait 3-7 days to relax your hair.

hmm...maybe you have dandruff.....get yourself a shampoo for dandruff..and good luck..
