Itchycoo Park favourite for Bet on your Mobile at Williamhill.com
Itchycoo Park has been rated favourite for the Bet on your Mobile at Williamhill.com race at Newcastle in England on Saturday, March 3, 2012. The winning greyhound will be awarded with a cash prize of £112.
The flat race will start at 14:42 (GMT) and the entries confirmed for it are: Itchycoo Park, Elwick Ragtag, Griers Dream, Canny Count, Gizmo Linda and Misty Morn.
Itchycoo Park has been impressive in most of his outings so far. He has got a good experience of running at Newcastle in the past and has been producing some consistent results at the venue. His last race proved to be a very good one, as he finished
third in it.
P. Rutherford’s trainee was not the favourite for that event, but still managed to do a decent job. He lost the lead right from the start and kept on struggling hard until the end. That outing was still enough for the bookmakers to grant him the best
odds today.
The punters will be encouraged to place their bets on the race favourite dog, who is the son of Droopys Scolari out of Pearly Queen and was born in March 2010.
On the other hand, Elwick Ragtag will also be one of the favourites for today’s race. He has been performing well over the past few events, but victories have not come consistently to his way.
As a result, the bettors might be a touch hesitant over investing their money on D. Spraggon’s trainee, who is the son of Head Bound out of Raggletagglrosie and was born in May 2010.
Griers Dream, trained by S. Ray, has been doing a decent job over the past few events at this level. However, she does not seem to have the momentum that is required for victory today.
The black b***h will need a clear run to end up on top of the table today. She set a very good trial time in her last outing at Newcastle and her trainer will be expecting the same level of performance from her again. She is the daughter of Westmead
Hawk out of Old Fold and was born in November 2008.
It will be a difficult race for Canny Count, Gizmo Linda and Misty Morn, as the top three runners are in a very good position to dominate the proceedings.
