  1. I loved the papason(sp?)...a friend sent my daughter one and it was a lifesafer.

  2. The Graco Travel System...or any of the travel systems for that matter. I think the Evenflo line has the carrier w/the turned handle so the carrier can lay straight by the side of your leg instead of the bottom of the carrier to the side of you leg. But I love the Graco carrier, base, and stroller. You leave the base in the car, strapped in, and pop the carrier from the base to the stroller and right back in the car, and don't have to take the baby out once. It's great! =)

Oh, and plenty of burp clothes, receiving blankets (which double as burp cloths & play blankets), onsies, and wipes.

  3. Here are some items that I found I could not live without:

    1. The Ultimate crib sheet - get 2 of these so that if the baby has an accident or throws up, you have a spare.

    2. Swaddle me blankets - I liked these better than miracle blankets because you can either have the baby's hands in or out as they age.

    3. Graco Mosiac travel system - this is a lightweight stroller travel system. I found the full size systems to be too bulky and took up way too much room. I loved the lightweight stroller because it still fits the infant seat and does not take up a lot of space.

    4. Baby swing and bouncy seat -  get a combo if you can to save money

    5. Gymini play mat - my sons both loved the toys and the mirrors on this one the most

    6. Born Free bottles or Dr Brown's bottles w/out BPA - this is the safest kind of bottle to have and they are great for every baby....including ones with reflux.

  4. i asked for the kit that has gas drops, tylenol and ibprofen for infants, ect. I also asked for breast pads, washable preferably b/c i am planning on breastfeeding. You can also never have enough diapers and wipes.

  5. Here are what I really found useful when I had my son

Dummies for the baby as you will lose many of them (if you want to use them)

    Breast Pump

Bottles - the ones you want to use

Baby Bath - If you want one I used  http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2...

Extra blankets are good. Try and not get too many smaller one's because as baby grow's they don't.

I also had cloth nappies so I could use them for when I was burping my son and if he chucked I could wipe it off. I had 24 of them so I didn't have to wait for them to dry after being washed to use them.

Nappies and wipes never go astray. Get people to buy them in larger sizes so then you don't have to worry about getting them when baby gets to the next size.

    Nappy Bag

Here are some of the bigger items and things that you will need a few months down the track
