Items to take on a ski trip???

Question

im going on a ski trip early this coming year and im not so sure what to take?? we are gonna be in aspen for 5 days and i know i need to take ski clothing, and gloves, googles, hats, but what else should i take?? ive never been to the snow before so im still trying to figure it out!! pls help me

Make sure you have really good sunglasses. The bright

sun on the snow is tough on the eyes.

I'm packing for a family of five and procrastinating on YA.  Lets see everyone gets: ski jacket, snow pants, ski socks, long undies or underalls, turtleneck, polar fleece shirt, neck warmer, 2 pairs ski mitts or gloves (especially if there's no dryer) A HELMET!, goggles, ski lock, short wave radios, skis or snowboard, poles, boots, clothes for apres ski, Then there's the family stuff: sunscreen, lip balm, kleenex, and all the other odds & ends for any trip.

Make 2 lists- one for the skiing part, one for the hanging out part.

Here's a quick list of what I'd put on each:

Skiing:

Helmet

2 goggles with different shades- 1 for sun, 1 for flat light

neck gator (just in case it's freezing cold)

Ski jacket

Ski pants

Gloves/mittens + extra pair

2 base layers on top

2 base layers on bottom

Ski socks

Boots

Ski pass

sunscreen

skis

Apres:

Sweaters

Vests

Gloves

Comfy, non slip boots like Uggs

Jeans

Bathing Suit & flip flops for hot tub

Sunglasses

Cute hat

Coat

Warm socks

...and everything else you'd take on a normal trip! (Shampoo, etc.)

Take your AMEX Black Card for shopping in all of the high end stores. Then you can just buy everything you need to fit in with the posh Aspenites. Trends change so quickly these days...it's best to just shop when you get there.

extra hats and gloves forsure just incase they get soaking wet you dont want to have to wear wet gloves. so bring a couple extra pairs.
