It’s Arsenals time to walk the walk
Arsenal has had an outstanding pre-season, with many of the fringe and fledgling players being involved along with the first-team squad. They won the Emirates Cup and now are trying to win some major trophies.
Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger has built the current team from scratch and at the same time is trying to ensure that Arsenal does not lose its status as one of the regulars in the Champions League. It is crucial for this team to show its worth to Wenger this year by winning a title.
The manager has backed his team and shouldered the blame of not winning even a single trophy in the last five years and has always backed the new youngsters. The worth of these talented players can definitely be seen on the field but the problem arising thus far is their consistency over the season.
One of Arsenal’s most prized players has been the center of a lot of transfer rumors to Barcelona, but right now he is expected to be leading the squad at Anfield and his presence at the game will give a good boost to the team.
There has been a lot of positive talk about the North Londoners this season and even they seem confident but the real question is if they will move on to become Arsenal’s legendary players, or just part of the squad that eventually moved on, or just names in a long list of players that never did much for the club.
A lot is expected from Theo Walcott and even he told the fans that they will be seeing some dazzling performances this season and he will really prove his worth to them and has realized that for a player of his caliber a lot more is expected and can no longer be on the sidelines of a game and has to play a major part in the success of a game.
Theo Walcott and Samir Nasri were both insulted because of not being included in their national teams in the World Cup.  Now it is important for them to prove their national team bosses wrong, by stunning everyone with their skills this season. Both of them have been very decent pre season and are hoped to shock the fans in the stands this season.
Andrei Arshavin the Russian national team captain and a part of Arsenal, is very confident with Arsenals chances to win the trophy this season, even Tomas Rosicky has spoken out on bagging the trophy. Rosicky has had a lot of injuries and now hopes to put them behind him and become a game changer and dazzle all the fans with a win.
Thomas Vermaelen was very impressive last season and now has confessed that he wants to take the game to an entirely new level and in order to do that he needs to work up a great partnership with Laurent Koscielny who is a new signing with Arsenal.
Maroune Chamakh and Koscielny have already been liked by most fans and are expected to make a great impact on the future of the club. Both are very talented players but they need to adjust themselves to the Arsenal style of play.
Arsenal has been adversely affected by injuries in the past as Abou Diaby and Alex Song have been injured a lot and did not complete their pre season training properly. Even last season Robin van Persie, William Gallas and Aaron Ramsey had long term injuries and the club did not have replacements of their caliber and thus suffered.
This season there is a good chance that Kieran Gibbs, Emmanuel Frimpong, Havard Nordvit and Jack Wilshere may get promoted to the first team. Frimpong and Wilshere were both very impressive in the Emirates Cup, Nordtveit is a very flexible defense player and played numerous positions, where as Gibbs performed commendably pre-season.
The team will obviously have a few weaknesses but they are doing well to minimize them and are producing consistent player. One thing is for a certain that Arsenal does have the capability to do really well this season, which just may be Fabregas’s last season with the team.
