leave your hand in cage with a treat and start from there do this a few days when she starts to come to you or come to the cage then she is ready for you to pick up lots o luck

dont just shove ur jhand in

start by scratching its head or tickling it

or stroking it

or maybe if it gets scared just give it a piece of food in your hand

i suggest wearing a leather glove first time u pick it up incase it bites

because u cant feel bites through leather

try handling it every single day and in a couple of months it will be a bit more relaxed

but since it isnt used to it start with slow exposure.

Yeah! Start by put your hand in the cage and letting your hamster smell it. Then try hand feeding it. Soon it will be used to you and let you hold it! Good Luck!

Oh it's going to be tough now because the hamster won't be used to being held. Wear thick gloves in case it tries to bit you. Wear the gloves when your handling it until it doesn't try to bit you.

Why the h**l havn't you held it?

You need to let it get used to you and now as you have had it a year its going to take a while.  

Make sure your not sweating as that angers hamtsers. put some of your hammies fav food on your hand and place your hand in the cage let it come to you.  keep doing this and when it sits on your hand life it gently out the cage.

Don't frighten it!!

How have you managed to get it out its cage with out holding it to clean it out?
