  1. Looks like USA can have it. Found a nice link. Enjoy.

  2. Absinthe was recently legalized in the US.  However, it has less alcohol and thujone (wormwood) than the legendary absinthe enjoyed by the Impressionist painters.

  3. i dunno

    id ask a cop

  4. No, it causes hallucinations.

  5. Yes it was recently de-criminalized after some guys in Alameda, CA petitioned the government.

  6. nope

the stuff that is allowed into the US is not real Absinthe

  7. It looks like it was once banned, but an article from a Virginia newspaper says that the ban was lifted in May, 2007.  It sounds like it all depends on what the concentration of ingredients happens to be.  The links below have more information, and I hope this helps.

  8. in the US it is available with out the "active" ingredient, which in my experience does nothing at all...

  9. yes,

absinthe has rescently been leaglized in the United States.  Studies have proven that the thujone* (the chemical compound that was thought to cause hallucinojins) content in absinth is not high enough to calls hallucinations.

*thujone is a compound derived of wormwood

  10. No. A kind of absinthe is available with the thujone removed: This is from the TTB...

TTB'S POLICY REGARDING THE USE OF THE TERM "ABSINTHE"

    Thujone-Free.

We approve the use of the term "absinthe" on the label of a distilled spirits product and in related advertisements only if the product is "thujone-free" pursuant to the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) regulation at 21 CFR 172.510.

Note how they put absinthe in inverted commas! You can get the real stuff online from Europe where you will even find brands with 100mg thujone. For the USA it is ZERO :-(
