Question:

Its been 3 months since i last self harmed but now really want to do it?

its really stupid im missing someone, why has it brought these feelings back i thought id won the battle, is there a good way of reliefing this without cutting

  1. There are plenty of ways of relieving stress, but you need to find what works best for you. Somethings that help me are writing, or talking with someone close like a family member or a friend that is a good listener.

    But when you say that you feel like hurting yourself after quitting 3 months ago, makes me think that your still going through depression.

    So you know I use to be in same place, where I felt like cutting my arms over and over again until there were only scars, but I realized how much it hurts others and was unhealthly for me mentally and phsyically. Just so you know, I would be happy to know that you didn't fall back into that bad habit.


  2. Try to live in the present/future and not in the past.  The past will only hurt you.. trust me, I know; I've been there.  

    By the way, if you're attempting suicide and think that you're not going to regret it, you're wrong!  The very last moments of your life are the moments where every single person you love and every single good memories that you remember will appear; and that's when you'll regret it.. a lot.  I was down that road not too long ago but I'm lucky I survived.  

  3. Listen to some music, like Bring me to life by evanscene or Weight of the world by saliva. Blast it really loud and scream the lyrics to it, that helps a lot.

  4. stop feeling sorry for yourself its just a means of seeking attenton if you feel so bad go and see your doctor........and stop telling us what you may or may not do........

  5. I hope you have been seeing a doctor. Cutting yourself can result in terrible permanent scarring and you might even die if you hit an artery. If you are prone to self injury, you need to go on to medication so you can stop doing this. I know people who cut and I also used to self harm by hitting my head and pulling my hair out. Please seek help.

  6. If you really must inflict pain on yourself, try squeezing ice cubes or putting an elastic band around your arm and flicking it against the skin.  I've posted a couple of links below, where you you'll be able to get some support.  (btw, I found out about dailystrength through Yahoo Answers.)

  8. don't be so stupid to go back to it. You are on your computer now so lets see what can you do, it is endless isn't it?  just think how silly you looked to people before when you done this. Ok your crying out for help, well help yourself instead.  Be bigger than that and if your up late try and help others with their problems maybe. Come on for me?

  9. Excercise, occupy yourself.

    Keep a diary of when you feel like this, it will help you recognise what triggers you off and to deal with these feelings.

  11. get busy , talk to friends, hang out , consider travelling if u can , get bust get busy ! love yourself girl ! read self help books, wait im going to do that as well ;)

Yes - Don't do it.  My daughter has been a self harmer for about 2 years - she is so mutliated from her ankles, wrists to the top of her body.  I love her so, so much - I wish she didn't hurt this way and hadn't been so badly bullied.  I am so proud to tell you that she hasn't self-harmed in 3 months!!!  I truly am a proud Mother!!!

    My Mother died 3 weeks ago and I miss her so much, but, surprisingly, my daughter has given me so much support.  If my daughter needs skin grafts, I will fight for her to have them.

    Please, sweetheart, don't do it - talk to someone who will understand and listen.  I really don't do too much with my spare time, so if you want to confide in me, then go ahead - I'm here for you!

  13. dont do it, if u do it'll only start all over again.

    do something 2 distract urself, like hang around with friends or find a hobbie or even just go 4 a walk
