  1. lets think about this one.

    BIOtech.

    BIOlogy.

    i'd think so.

  2. It sure is! :)

  3. Mathematics, physics and chemistry are MUCH more important to have.  Biology is not mandatory, but it if you have it you have some advantage.  Biology also introduces the school learner to the DNA molecule and proteins.  However when starting Biotechnolgy at the University you will learn these basics again anyway in much more detail.

I'm a Biotechnolgy lecturer, so I know.  So Biology is optional and not mandatory.  Hope you study that course. I'm a biotech researcher working in the food technology industry.  Very interesting work we do.

    Good luck

  4. Most biotech classes are like biology and chemistry squished together. So, yes, biology is definitely requiered.

  5. This question is highly ambiguous.  A bachelor's degree in biology generally doesn't require formal "biotech."

  6. Depends on what exactly you mean by biotech.

Biotech is somewhat of a catch all phrase for anything to do with biology and technology. Note the AND. There's a program offered here that is labeled as biotech, but you don't need any biology to do it because it's more to do with fixing machines than it is people.

If you want to go into the mechanical side of it, physics, mechanics, and even engineering are more important.

  7. of course it is!
