Wesley Sneijder insists that he is in great form despite Inter Milan’s failings; eagerly looking forward to the European competitions in Poland and Ukraine.

The Dutch international’s performances under head-coach, Claudio Ranieri, have been the talking point in the media, with some corners suggesting that Sneijder does not fit in the manager’s preferred system.
However, the former Real Madrid star insists that there has been nothing wrong with his individual displays since his return from injury. The attacking-midfielder has assured that he will be the first one to point out to his own
plights if he thinks that his performances are below par.
While talking to De Telegraaf, the Dutch midfielder said:
"I am the first to admit it if I am not giving my all or if I'm not performing well. However, as strange as it might sound following our recent defeats, that's simply not the case. It is hard to shine when the team is struggling.
With a little bit more luck, I would have had eight assists in the past two games."
The Milan giants have only managed a single point from possible 15 available, putting players and the management under tremendous pressure. Many critics believe that the Nerazzurri’s decline has a lot to do with Sneijder’s compulsive
inclusion in the team that blights the balance in the formation for the Beneamata.
However, the former Ajax star has emphasised that football is a team sport, and his team’s failure are attributed to the failure of that group process. The star admitted:
“The team is the most important thing rather than individuals."
Despite disappointments at the club level, the attacking-midfielder is looking forward to the upcoming Euro 2012, and believes that there is still a lot of football left to be played before the competition takes place in Poland
and Ukraine.
"We still have a long preparation ahead of Euro 2012. Even the guys who have not been playing regularly at club level have plenty of opportunities to prove their worth.”
Netherlands will begin their Euro 2012 campaign with a match against Denmark on June 9.
