The former boss to both the giants is all praise for Andrea Pirlo and believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s absence might be woeful for the Rossoneri.
Paris Saint-Germain boss, Carlo Ancelotti, admits that predicting a winner of the potential title decider between the two Italian giants is very tough for him.
While talking to Tuttosport in an interview on Thursday, the Italian manager, who has managed both sides, said:
“It’s hard to say how it will end. Milan have some expert players, men who are used to winning these types of games. However, Juve will arrive at San Siro with great enthusiasm.”
Reigning champions, A.C Milan, are at the top of the league standings with a one-point advantage over the Old Lady, who have an extra game in hand.
The former Chelsea tactician insists that A.C Milan have maintained the same level of supreme performances as last season, but the Bianconeri have taken him aback with their surprise emergence as Scudetto contenders.
The Italian has attributed Juventus’ rise to the arrival of some important players in the summer and the control of Andrea Agnelli. The former Juve boss is all praise for Old Lady head-coach, Antonio Conte, and believes that the
tactician has used all the positive changes in the club to create a climate where clear objectives and a new style of football are helping every player to perform to the best of their abilities.
Ancelotti believes that Andrea Pirlo’s arrival at Juventus Stadium on a Bosman transfer in the summer is one of the major factors behind the turnaround in Juve’s fortunes.
“Andrea is always the same. Everyone hails the technical qualities of him, while his character and personality are undervalued. He is one of the few players who immediately understands what you tell him.”
The former A.C Milan boss believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s absence will be a big blow for Massimiliano Allegri’s team’s chances of winning the game. The Swede’s appeal against the three-match ban for slapping Salvatore Aronica
was upheld by the Lega Calcio.
“If I was at Milan then I would hope to have him in the team.” Ancelotti stated.
The Rossoneri will host Juventus at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday, February 25.
