this will be my first experience going Thur this, and I'm scared. i've seen movies when the woman holds her man hand and when the contraction comes, squeezes it to death. can you please tell me what is in store for me.

  1. Women are different! It could be what you see on the movies... where she is in horrible pain and can not take it and curses you out for doing this to her. lol.  Or she can be calm and relax and tries to just stay focused.  Just keep in mine everything she is going through...it hurts...doesnt feel good at all...but it will be over with before you know it! Dont argue with her while she is there..do whatever she wants you to do.  You may even think she is crazy at times lol. I was telling my mom to do one thing then changed my mind a second later.  Just be her support! Congrats!

  2. honestly best thing with contractions are breath with them.. as you are having them take a deep breath and release again deep breath release.... its ok to hold your hubbys hand for comfort n closeness but def breath with them it helps alot... laying on your left side helps releive alot of pressure asa well...

hope eveyrhting is ok sweety for you and good luck.. ask dr's about the blous shot its a mixture of pain medications completely safe for u n baby  it doesnt take pain away  but it takes the edge off the pain.  they give it through your iv.  Maybe get a epidural when its time. I had a 10lb baby boy my first  and had alot of pain and got that blous shot... Now again the epidural will numb you waste down so you wont feel nothing but the urge to push baby  out.....

  3. just have her get an epidural and she will feel no pain!!!!!! you both will just relax and enjoy

    such a peice of cake!!!!

no reason to go through all that pain when you dont have to right?

  4. LOL...oh the man's duty when in the labor room...

Okay do what ever she says when she says it...first!

Let her squeeze your hand, it wont be as bad as what she is going through so be lucky for that, and also take it like a man.

Bring her ice chips, help her roll over or stand.

You will hear her scream, cuss, yell, demand, scream!!!

You can ask to cut the cord if you want, tell them ahead of time so they know to bring you over after wards. Also tell them if she wants to breast feed also, so they dont stick a bottle in its mouth.

It will be gross, messy and sometimes slow and fast pased.

I dont think any guy is really prepared for that at all, so just go with the flow. And Good Luck and Congrats!!
