Ok i know some will think this is nasty or what ever but i was giving myself a t******e self examination. because i had felt like someone had punched me in the groin 5 min before. Now i only felt like it no one actually punched me. well so i started the self examination and i found a slight lump on my right t******e about the size of a BB. but its on the actual t******e not the skin. now I'm really worried about it and i know this sounds bad but i really don't wanna tell my parents cause for a really stupid reason. well for one if i DO have testicular cancer then they will remove my right one and replace it with a little fake one. ( that's not bad at least i'll still have 2) they weight you and i'm really fat and after i go to the doctor my dad kinda fusses at me about my weight and i feel like c**p. But I'm 17 and i just really would like some answers please. Thank you

  1. Similar thing happened to me at your age (I'm now 50).

I went next door to my pediatrician and told him about it.  He checked me out and said the blood vessels sometimes get twisted up around the testicles and it may feel like a lump and be uncomfortable.

I'm sure you are worried and if I was your dad I'd want you to tell me.

Tell your parents to make an appointment for you to see your doctor.  If you want, you can ask your parents to wait outside when the doctor checks your gear out.  While you are there, also talk to your doctor about your weight.  I don't know if you are really overweight or you THINK you are overweight.  If you are, your testicles may not be your biggest problem ( no pun intended).  Your doctor will know and help you either way.  Your dad is fussing about your weight because he loves you and I'm sure it does not make you feel good.  Sometimes dads don't always use the right words, but the love is always there.

Don't ignore this.  Both conditions may be serious so "man up", get tough and go to your doctor.

  2. you should try your local health clinic, it's supposed to be pretty cheap, and i don't think u need your parents......u want to get it checked out asap, if something is wrong u want to stop it from spreading, cuz if u don't you'll sol.....good luck

  3. Most definitely get it checked out. It could be a number of things, but even in the worst case scenario if it is testicular cancer, you have a very good chance of beating it without much complication. Never ignore something like that.

  4. Dude, I feel for you man. I know it's gotta be embarrasing talking to your parents about this but you have no choice. Just suck it up and tell them you need to get it looked at by a doctor. Im sure they will understand.
