  1. RUN the other way. Banks do not normally give money to private citizens to transfer like this. There probably isn't even a Halifax Bank in London. Halifax is Nova Scotia which is in Canada.

  2. Certainley a scam halifax bank in the UK is a huge company and would not be contacting you without your prior knowledge. The contact number you have is a UK mobile phone number (so probably a top up phone that can be easily disposed once you pay them). If you want to know more I suggest you get in touch with the halifax bank directly from their website www.halifax.co.uk their should be a contact us button there. The UK's financial services authority FSA can also help with scams

Hope that helps and dont send any money to them

  3. It is a scam. Do not give the fraudsters any money.

  4. It's a classic scam. Don't touch it.

  5. this sounds fraudulent. I live in London and no bank will ask you for money to open an account, they just need a guarantee that a regular salary or amount will be paid in each month

  6. dont' do it ......SCAM!!!!!!!!!
