  1. lol i think you're just under the wrong tax code. Talk to your boss and ask them for a p45 / 60 form (explain to them and they'll know)/ Once it's sent off, your tax rate should lower and you may get a rebate. Good luck!

  2. well depending on what u earn ppl really need to know what u earn and how much tax u paid....

  3. You're paying to much tax now simply because you were put on an emergency tax number for the time being, get in touch with your local tax office to sort your code number out and you will get any moneys you've paid extra once you're on the right code you will be OK, goodluck.

  4. No idea what you are asking.  Yes, you have to pay taxes.  They are very high in places like the UK where the government provides you with so many benefits.

  5. your probably on emergency tax but if your in any doubt ask your boss

  6. It sounds as if you are on emergency code, but its form P46 you need to ask your employer for - he will then be able to put you on the right code.

  7. You are allowed to earn a certain amount of money before you pay tax, but this is an annual figure which is divided into your payment period monthly, weekly.

You then pay tax on what you earn over this amount per week/ month.

  8. you are on emergency tax as it is your first job and you didnt hand in a p45 so you need to fill out a p60 form then your tax will be a lot lower you might have to ask your employer for the form or if they dont get it for you ask the inland revenue because you might be able to sort it out quicker yourself. hope this helps and good luck.

  9. You need to contact the tax office & get your tax code sorted out. You are probably on the emergency tax (the highest you can get!) band. Once you inform them of this problem they should refund what you are owed & you won't get taxed as much!
