  1. I have never taken any of my kids to school because i am a teacher myself. It is going to be really hard this year because my baby is going to JK she is so excited but i wants her to just stay little. I cried when my first went to school and couldn't wait to get home to see her.

  2. When my oldest went to K, I knew it was the best thing for him and it wasn't too bad of time for me since I was busy with the baby at home. When the youngest one left, it was awful! I felt so empty inside, but I found ways to stay busy, volunteering in the school as much as possible and stayed very involved in their school progress, etc. I also started exercising and this made me feel very good.

You are a good mom to miss your child, but she will be OK without you.  You will get better with time too.

One thing I do now is if I have a friend sending a youngest to K, I take her to lunch and shopping on that first day, kind of to get her mind off and "celebrate".

Hang in there and keep showering her with your love!

  3. Here in Romania we don't have conditions. On my first day at kindergarden I saw all the kids crying and fighting and I didn't want to leave my parents. Ok I recognize: I cried. And it was really bad. All the toys I liked I took them there and all were dismembered. And that evil teacher... She was punishing us with a big big stick or with her 1 ft. ruler.

In the first day of school I was ok. Actually it wasn't bad at all.

  4. on my sons first day of school i couldn't leave him, i think i suffered more separation anxiety than he did.  He had never been out of my sight since birth so i was so scared something would happen to him at school and i even showed up and took him home early a couple times a week as i couldn't take being away from him.  My husband said i overreacted to much.  I guess being a mom we all tend to overreact when it comes to our children.

BTW this is my husbands account mbut i am a woman lol

  5. well i'm only 17 [my mom said time flew] anyways

when i went off to kindergarten, my mom took pictures of me and i was not smiling at all!

    i looked so mad

and when she dropped me off

    usually kids cry

    well i didn't

    i told her to leave!

    :]

  6. Well it was Pre-K & I thought it would be bad- he would cry & not want me to leave-but when we walked in & saw all the other kids playing & they had a pet rabbit he was fine - he just looked at me & said bye mom see you later! I was more upset then him! And when he stared Kindergarden he was the same way - he loves school & seeing his friends!!

  7. My daughter's 1st day is the 28th.  I have been telling her for a year how proud I am and that she is not allowed to get any older.  She laughs and tells me "Mooooooom. . .I am a big girl and want to have fun at school".  I am sure I will cry like a baby.  I took the day off of work so I can be there before and after she gets out.  My husband took the morning off as well so he can be there.  It's hard to see you baby grow up and the 1st day of school is like being kicked in the gut and being slapped in the face with that reality all at once.

  8. When i first went to kindergarten

My mom was video taping me and the garbage man came

by and he took forever to move, so she made fun of me

saying i was going to smell like garbage..but you gotta love moms haha
