  1. don't be nervous at all.

statistics show you're more likely to get hit by a car then get into a plane accident..something like that

    i fly a lot...like sometimes 8 times a summer for 20 hour flights and i love flying

the plane might have some turbulence but it's just like a bump on the road

if the plane does start bumping a lot, it's pretty normal and nothing to be afraid of

being on a plane feels like youre kinda just sitting there..it doesnt feel like youre moving

and taking off and landing are awesome feelings

  2. when you're taking off, you go super fast and it's kind of a rush. after that the only movement you feel is turbulence if there's any (and it's usually nothing to worry about, it's very common) and some turning once in a while. when you're landing you kind of get an elevator feeling once you start descending (sometimes this scares me lol bc i feel like we're going down too fast but it's normal), then you feel a bump once you land and you slow down pretty quickly.

i used to be scared to death of flying, but after flying about 10 times i sort of got over it, plus think of how many flights there are every day, hundreds maybe thousands i'm not sure, and how many crashes there have actually been. yeah, compared to how many safe flights there are everyday there are so few. and what crashes there have been have usually been private jets, not commercial airliners. so don't worry you are safe! and you're on a very short flight, at least you're not on a 15 hr flight! what i do to calm nerves, bc i get clausterphobic (sp?), is bring my ipod, and something that has games i can focus on (usually on my ipod) till i get comfortable. and you can always make conversation w/ people around you. just relax and look out the window if you have a window seat and enjoy the amazing view. oh, and get some gum and be sure to swallow/yawn a lot bc your ears will probably pop. good luck and have fun!

  3. No, of course not.  Some people fly for a living.  Flying is very safe.

  4. I dont know if you like Judge Judy that crazy judge on TV, but the other day some guy was on her show trying to  convince her he was afraid to fly and thats why he supposedly didnt fly from North Carolina to California to pick up his son for his visitation.

Judge Judy told him to "get over it"  She says people fly all of the time and clearly thought he was being ridiculous.

Fear of flying is very common. You will be fine.  When you get on the plane, look around.  No one will be crying and bawling and begging for Gods mercy to keep them alive.  Many of them fly so much they just see it as another day on a plane.

Just keep yourself busy with a magazine and some gum. You will feel the engines rev up and the G's pulling you into your seat when you take off.  Its a very rapid slow down when the flight is over and the plane is coming onto the landing strip.

    Enjoy your flight.

  5. I think you will be perfectly safe. Peace be with you.

  6. i love absoluetly love it

its the best part to mee

ha dont be nervous its nothing

    look at the window.!

  7. no way just relax.

i first went on a plane when i was 3 months old

i was fine and so will you

the chances of anything happening are so small you are probably in more danger going to the airport toilet!

    don't b scared... just relax

    have fun!

  8. flying is awesome. Don't be nervous. Its only an hour and a half. I have done over night flights. Its fun landing and rushing up when taking off. You could fall asleep for an hour and a half. Try and get either an aisle or window seat. Best seats my opinion. Its pretty cool on your first time. Most of the ride is smooth only part bumpy is landing and thats fun to.

  9. Buy some gum, and chew it when the plane takes off. Don't buy it at the airport, its really expensive there. The gum will, help with the nerves by giving yourself something to focus on, and it will also help with the altitude after you take off. Other suggestions are lifesavers and carmels, gives you something to concentrate on!

You have nothing to be nervous about! Just relax and enjoy the ride!

  10. Chances are that everything will be smooth for that hour and a half.  Do not think about that most crashes occur either during takeoff or landing.  Imagine the plane braking from 275 mph to zero when landing and what stress is on the tires.  That is the scariest part when you think the tires could blow out easily.

Do NOT drink alcohol to try and ease your nerves.  That sometimes makes a person more anxious and also sometimes makes them sick.  Do NOT take medication to calm nerves.  That also can have the side effect of extreme nervousness and also make you sick.  Just relax, breathe easy, and do not think of any bad thoughts.

Anyhow, the chances of anything going wrong are very slim.  Have a good flight.
