Not sticking with the romantic places, how about something a little more wild, for example if she likes cars, take her to one of these places where you can drive a ferrari/lotus/porsche etc around a track, or a helicopter ride, white water rafting, or providing the weather is decent, a hot air balloon ride... anything adventurous can also be thoughtful and romantic.

Amsterdam. There is a good camping/chalet site on an island in A'dams harbour with ducks, geese. goats and cats roaming around and it is only 20 mins to the centre of town by tram.
