Its my goddaughter first birthday thursday not sure what to buy her any ideas?

There is a great site called oneshare.com - you can buy her one share of stock in a company like Disney  - or Tiffany's - or anything else you think her parents (and eventually your god daughter) would think was cool for her.  You can print a certificate and have it framed if you want.

On the fun side, my son got a Cozy Coupe for his first birthday - it was a little too old for him then, but he quickly grew into it and now plays with it everyday (at 22 months) - they have cute pink ones at Toys R Us.

He also loves a BIG stuffed dog he got...the bigger and softer the better. :-)

Savings Bonds or $$ for her college fund are also nice - gifts that will grow over time.

She will have so much for first birthday that she will grow out of so quick buy her some premium bonds or put some money into her bank account

A dress for special occasions or simply just going to church ,espically with babies their clothes get stained and have food spills all over so clothing is a good chioce,or a toy that one that maybe has flashing lights and sounds .

As a godparent you have the honor of making a difference in her life. Get her something that she will still have when HER daughter is turning one.

A leather bible with her name engraved. I know a lot of people who have had their bibles for 50 years and still use it every day.

A life insurance policy she can keep or cash in at 20ish. My daughter is 20 and because of a "pre-existing" conidtion (Bi-Polar) she can not qualify for a policy.

A charm bracelet starter, gold link bracelet from James Avery with one charm, then every year from now on get one charm on every birthday that represents her life that year. ie, one year a baby or a bottle or mother and child charm, 2nd b-day if she likes giraffes, get a giraffe charm, if she likes or got a puppy that year get a puppy charm. You can make a life scrapbook in charms. It is a great tradition.

One that you can get enlarged when she grows up to fit her wist?

Or maybe a charm bracelet, then everey time its a spechai loccasion you can get her a charm.

Get her clothes and a wee toy.  How about a baby walker, toy like a bike and pusher.  Do you know what my wee girl loved playing with at that age, builing blocks and she is now 3 and still loves playing with them

A pingu DVD this is what i got my my brother aged 1 and he became hooked on it what with all this funny noises and pingu constantly falling over !

Also a few books is nice my younger brother got some at this age they love to turn the pages especially is they are one of those books with the mirrors and different material in!

I think a great gift would be anything personalized to her would be something special she will have forever. Blanket,baby spoon,charm,etc.
