  1. To do this, you are going to work hard. As the guy before said, medical science is very demanding. Only the top 1% of students get accepted to med school. I suggest working very hard this year a ALL of your courses and taking summer school at some community college to raise your GPA. This would be a great start. This is you last year before filling out applications, make it count :)

  2. you can still try

  3. veterinary science, like medical science, is a challenging major and life career to enter. you should really pick up the pace right now, regardless of career you want. college is coming sooner than you think and you'll regret not putting effort into your schoolwork when you're trying to get into school.

  4. if you bust your *** this year.. then yeah there's a possibility.. your jr. year is the most important year that colleges look at

  5. try your best..colleges really look at the last two years ...but overall average you might not get a good scholarship going in but you can always raise that....start looking and doing this now ..trust this high school senior wished shed done just that

  6. Put some good GPA points on your transcript this year and next year. Study for SAT and do well on it. Most schools take that test for your admittance. Other than that, college is completely diff than high school. A high GPA will help you but it wont kill you to not have one. If you don't get accepted where you want to go, go to an open campus community college, somewhere local, and take some core class to bump your GPA up enough to transfer to the school you want to go to.

  7. One thing you should know is that there is alternative to everything. Don't give up. Try as hard as you can. Make the next two years count.

  8. My advice - don't worry.  I graduated High School with a 2.7 (I never did my homework).  Clearly, this would not get my into a competitive university, so I went to community college.  After my first year, I figured out which classes I had to go to to ace the tests and which classes I could pass just by doing the homework (why try if I can get A's without trying?)  I also figured out exactly how much homework I had to do to get an A.  I transferred to UCSD with a 3.8 last year (UCSD is one of the top schools in California for science) and am still maintaining a 3.3 even at this tough school, because I went to community college and took the time to figure out how everything worked.  Even better, my lower division courses at the community college were easier to pass, and, because of the ease of access to the teachers (i.e. you can actually ask questions and get help), I gained a better understanding of the subject.  Another plus - I saved a LOT of money by going to the community college first.
