  1. If you have a fast car to drive, that itself wont make you happy. You actually need to drive it to truly enjoy the car. If you have a closet full of clothes, you wont enjoy it until you actually take them out and wear them. Untimately, it not material things that make you happy, its just plainly enjoying the things life has to give.

  2. In my opinion, this quote means that HAPPINESS is a great equalizer among those who "have" and those who "have-not".  Enjoying what you have is a matter of attitude and it is available to everybody --- you just have to decide to enjoy and be thankful for what you have.

A CEO of a company may "enjoy" using his executive power to decide on how to use the company's immense resources and watch it grow, but a simple teacher who "enjoys" imparting knowledge to his young students and watch them become useful members of society would just be as happy.

  3. You can have everything in the world but only enjoy sunsets - so it is sunsets that make you happy, not everything you own.

This is just an example, but it is basically what that means.  Having things doesn't make you happy only enjoying things does. Someone can have tons of money but no friends or lots of cars but really wants to swim in the lake - the cars don't bring the happiness that swimming does, the money doesn't make the happiness; being with friends does.

    Has this helped?

  4. Happiness comes out of enjoyment. You can't enjoy without being happy. What you have need not necessarily mean you enjoy all that. You can have somethings that you really hate, do not enjoy, forget and so on. Ultimately whatever you enjoy is what that keeps you happy and is the measure of your happiness.

  5. First of all, happiness is the state of mind and has got nothing to do with the outer materialistic things.  For example, you will watch a movie which you always wanted to see.  after going to the theatre, you receive some bad news.  will u be able to enjoy the movie.  The movie is the same, it has not changed.  You do not have a happy mind to enjoy the movie.  Either Happiness or sadness both are the different stages of the same mind. in fact both are the same from the end of happiness, starts sadness and from the end of sadness starts happiness. www.goldeneggsforlife.com
