  1. Continue to be a good owner to her and give her lots of love and attention.  I am also confused as to why you think she's dying because most cats get much slower as they get older.  I had a very sickly cat who lived to be 17.  I swore every year since she was 12 she was on her last leg and she hung in there another 5 years, and it was actually a clot that killed her, which had nothing to do with her age.  So take her to the vet if you haven't already and get some blood work done because at her age she could have all kinds of illnesses that aren't necessarily fatal but could be affecting her quality of life.  Hoping for the best!

  2. We need more information about why you think she's near the end.

I would take her to the vet and get his opinion.  Maybe a few tests are in order.  Your vet can help you make a decision about her life expectancy.  Please do this for her and yourself, you'll feel a lot better.

  3. Older cats (older than 7) should be checked out by the vet at least yearly, preferably 2x/year. Then you would have a better idea of the state of her health and quality of life.

Continue to love her. Give her love and affection. That's what she wants from you.

  4. Take her to your vet if you feel her quality of life is being affected by her old age.  If she's healthy, there's really no need to worry.  She can sense your worry, and although she won't know what it's about, it will stress her out as much as it stresses you out.

  5. I would take her to the vet to be checked out, 14 isn't really that old.  What makes you think her life is almost at an end?  Tell us more about how she's acting please.

  6. If you think so, just be sure to give her lots of love and attention.

Take some pictures with her, you'll be glad you did..

But you may also be wrong my cat lived to be 20+

He had to be put down last September, it was horrible:(
