  1. Simon or Bewleys Berry.  There are constant improvements going on for horse safety at all courses.

  2. im putting my bet on joes edge , i think its as safe as it could be it is a challenging course with so many in one race bound to be some fallers , good luck

  3. i backed the winner last year,(numbersixvalverde),i think he'll win again!not too sure whats running but if nil desperandum runs he's the one for a reverse forecast!ps i backed butlers cabin yesterday and i'm backing jammid3.50 fairyhouse, windy spirit 4.40chepstow and hawadeth4.10 chepstow(won at cheltenham, owes me nowt!)today!

  4. Yes the Grand national is this Saturday (14th) I will probably be putting money on "Joe's Edge" if it's still running.

I believe it's still quite cruel for the horses to run in this race but the event has become alot safer than it once was and the horses are trained to be able to deal with the race, so I believe it is fine.

  5. Not very exciting but I can't see past Point Barrow and Ladbrokes 11/1 looks generous.

For those of you looking for a big price e/w interest I'd (in order of preference) look to Jack High, Ballycassidy and Cloudy Bays.

As for your other question - no, it's not safe but neither is getting out of bed in the morning! The horses run and jump because they are bred to and want to. It's sad when a horse gets hurt racing but it would be sadder if they didn't get the opportunity.
