Its time for me to get a new car, SERIOUSLY

i have a 2000 tl with almost 180k miles on it. it was a mistake for a first car because we had to redo the transmission....TWICE. all the money goin into this car and its almost at 180k. im workin two jobs so its not like im not makin money, but how do i convince my parents im able to make payments for a new one? i dont even look at expensive--10k and UNDER..but they always keep tellin me to wait

180k miles is way too many miles for a 2000...the average mileage is 12k per year so you should only be at about 96k miles, 180k miles is practically abuse for that poor car.
