Ajax Amsterdam’s Nicolai Boilesen made his debut only two month agos, but has impressed with his good performances in the back-line. The 19-year-old played just six matches and his impressive performances were enough to gather interest from a host of clubs
including Barcelona FC. However, the left-back has denied moving abroad at this point of his career and wants to prolong his stay at Amsterdam Arena.
The Danish U-21 International is a product of the Amsterdammers’ renowned youth academy and started his professional career this year. The young defender even trained with Manchester United earlier and a host of European clubs were interested in signing
the left-back, but the Danish talent preferred the Amsterdammers.

clearly indicated that he does not intend to leave his parent club.
“It is too early to leave from Ajax. I’ve just started to play in the starting eleven, which is certainly a good start”, Boilesen was quoted as saying to the media.
The Danish U-21 International feels honoured to train under the leadership of Frank de Boer. He revealed that De Boer was one of his favourite players and would certainly learn the art of defending from him.
“Boer was one of my favourite players. I still remember how well he played in the World Cup 1998 in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899. He can teach me the intricacies of defending”, the 19-year-old added.
Furthermore, the left-back also admires his coach and revealed that the Dutch trainer believes in his abilities.
“He believes in me. He put me in the starting eleven in the two most important games of the season and that made me feel really good”, Boilesen concluded.
The starlet’s current contract with Ajax runs until the summer of 2013, but reports suggest that the Amsterdammers management is looking to offer him an extension to his current contract to ward off interest from European big guns.
