Itunes lets you put lyrics with your songs

when you right click a song and go to get info, there's a tab for lyrics

if i put lyrics to my songs, can i see them on my ipod touch?

Yes, that feature was added in 1.1.3. Simply put the lyrics in the Lyrics tab. Then when you're playing a song, tap the album like you would normally in order to get to the controls like progress bar or the repeat options.

The lyrics will be displayed.

The iPod Touch does not have the lyrics/extra info functionality, so far. I looked everywhere.

Well, at least it doesn't for podcasts.

Yes , you can see them. When the song is playing tap the center of the display to view.
