I accidentally deleted that database file in the itunes folder. I still have all my songs in the itunes library but once i open Itunes none show up and i start out with all the starter playlists and no songs.

I know i can click on every single song to add them back again but is there a different way?

  1. You can select a whole folder and all the music in the subfolders will import. This will be really easy if you have the "copy tunes to iTunes folder when copying to library" selected (iTunes-Edit-Preferences-Advanced-Genera...

Then you can just go to the primary folder. Mine is at C:\Documents and Settings\Me\My Documents\My Music\Music, but I've reset it to keep music separate from iTunes general stuff. I think the default is something like C:\Documents and Settings\Me\My Documents\My Music\iTunes.

Just select the iTunes folder and drop it into iTunes!

If you don't have that selected, hopefully you manage your own music  and have it together, in which case you can import that folder.

If you have no idea where it all is then, yes you will have to go find it all by yourself, sorry.

  2. As you may know, iTunes automatically creates a folder under My Documents | Music to store the music files. In iTunes, go to File | Add Folder to library. Browse for that iTunes folder and click Add. All of the music files stored in that folder will be added to the library.

  3. yes, click under the FILE menu and do an import or add new content. Then  navigate to your ITunes Music Folder in MY DOC's.

You could just reinstall your itunes too. The music files are actually tagged with your Itunes account name.

  4. get off yahoo.

i drag my items to my itunes library, so idk if that would work for you
