  1. You must be talking about Plan de Iguala, which was proclaimmed by Agustín de Iturbide and Vicente Guerrero, on February 24th, 1821, in the city of Iguala (today in the state of Guerrero). It declared for the first time the independence of Mexico.

    Its three main principles were:

    - To establish Mexico's independence from Spain.

    - To establish the Catholic Church as the ONLY religion in Mexico.

    - To establish the equality and union of all the ethnic groups in Mexico (not just whites), giving them the same rights.

This plan (also called Plan of the Three Guarantees), also called the insurgents to join the Ejército Trigarante (Three Guarantee Army), whose leader would be Agustín de Iturbide.
