  1. You have to convert your video to DVD format at first, otherwise your burned DVD can not be played on normal DVD player.

If you don't knon how to convert video to DVD, here is a step by step guide for you, it works pretty well for me.

  2. When playing on a DVD player the movie file is converted into many parts as .dat file and many else. Simply burning a .avi file will not be played on a DVD player, as the rquired files arent there.

Use nero and use the option- create video disc (VCD) or video DVD

  3. The problem is the software the programme was codified in is not compatible with your DVD player. Or, if your player is + R and your burner is -R, it won't work...check the manual.

Download VLC Media Player free, online, and try again. You should have no problems.

  4. when you burn, burn them as data, not as dvd

  5. Well, burning them will cause them to melt and become deformed. Not surprising they will not play!

  6. check the file format support for the player and the files u have put in...
