Iv got a big scar on shoulder need ideas for tattoo to cover it. plz help!!!!?

my scar is 2inch long and 1inch wide, iv been to a very experienced tattooist and he said the tattoo i have will have to be quite big to cover it. he's said i cant have a butterfly or flower as i will be abel to see the scar. tattoo must be dark colors. i was thinking of my country's flag with a difference lol, not just a boring flag shape! but is this a lad thing to do? if anyone has any ideas plz tell me as I'm a bit stuck!!!
