Iv only had 3 lessons now and im really keen to learn but at the end of each lesson my ankles hurt. Why?

Regarding learning to Horse ride im having real probems getting my feet to sit forward so they dont buckle and cause my ankles to really hurt after every lesson and toward the end when im still riding.

this may be because you are not used to working those muscles in your ankles. maybe take an advil or something before you lesson or before your ankles start hurting.

It may also be that you're stirrups are too short?? Are you using a Western Saddle? If so you may need to set the stirrups to suit your height and they wont put so much pressure on your ankles and knees
