yes or you can trim them to fit inside the casing of the window.

You can fit them outside and if you really dont like it this way you could possibly trim them to fit inside I have done this on two occasions and it has worked

It is very time consuming tho and you have to cut each slat individually . you can buy a tool for doing it tho which makes it easier.

You can usually tim a few inches off the ends .

Yes of course you can . You may need to change the fitting onto the outside frame instead of the inside. They usually have multiple holes for screws no matter where you wish to hang them.

sure you can.. but why didnt u order them custom made specifically for your size of windows?  thats what I did with mine cause my windows are so huge and couldlnt find anything to fit them...
