The retired footballer voiced his belief that La Roja cannot afford to take the Azzurri lightly despite the wide array of off-field scandals and poor form in recent international friendlies.

"In major tournaments, Italy are Italy. Spain cannot afford to rely on anything, though they are playing very well."
