The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven player believes that the Ajax star will shine for the Danish Dynamite though he admitted that the pressure of European championship might be enormous for him to cope with.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Eriksen-c9074 will play an important role for the Danish Dynamite at Euro 2012.
The former PSV Eindhoven defender was all praise for the Danish wonder-kid and revealed that the 20-year-old has the ability to become one of the best midfielders in the coming years.
“For years, he has been the main talent of Danish football. When I see him play, I think of Johan Cruyff. Eriksen will prove it at the European Championships. He has the ability to be a very big player, but can he show it? The
pressure might be too large for a 20-year-old to cope with”, Nielsen was quoted as saying to the media.
The versatile midfielder, who started his professional career at Ajax in the 2010/11 season, is tipped to be De Rod-Hvide’s key player in European championship, this summer.
The highly-talented midfielder netted seven goals while amassing an impressive 19 assists in 33 Eredivisie appearances this term, as the Amsterdammers managed to claim their 31st league title.
Despite his blistering performances, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kenneth-Perez-c20610 has criticised Eriksen by claiming that the young Danish midfielder failed to impress at the Amsterdammers in the recently concluded season.
In addition, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar player has also stressed that the Danish Dynamite cannot rely on the youngster in the upcoming competition, though; he has admitted that the youngster has a bright future ahead of him.
“Eriksen is the Danish hope in anxious days. But I don’t think he can carry the team just yet. To be honest, I don’t think he has played particularly well with Ajax this season. I expected more from him. I expect a player with
his qualities in his position to be more important to the team and certainly to score more”, Perez was quoted as saying to De Telegraaf.
