Perisic signs for Dortmund
German Bundesliga Champions, Borussia Dortmund, have signed attacking midfielder, Ivan Perisic, from Belgian side, Club Brugge.
The Belgian player of the year signed a five-year-contract for a reportedly £4.8 million pounds. Perisic has been seen as an ideal replacement for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid recently.
Perisic has drawn comparisons with the German legend, Michael Ballack, and can fit in different formations.
The club General manager told the media, "[Perisic] is a guy like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Ballack-c25270, only much faster than the Leverkusen player. He can play in a standard 4-2-3-1 on the left or central behind the striker. Perisic has the advantage that he can play deep and
bring the ball out,"
The 22-year-old has had a wonderful 2010/11 season and finished the campaign as the leading goal-scorer with 22 strikes. The Croatian international’s versatility of playing in different attacking positions will be hugely beneficial for Dortmund, as he will
fit in the team effectively with other midfielders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364 and Mario Gotze.
Juve want Lichtsteiner
Juventus have reportedly held talks with Lazio over the signing of Lazio defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stephan-Lichtsteiner-c34101, in the summer transfer window.
Lichtsteiner had a brilliant season with Lazio and was instrumental in guiding them to a UEFA Europa League spot. Juve are in the market for a right full-back and they see the Swiss international as an ideal player to fill in the role. However, the two clubs
cannot reach an agreement over a fee for the player and the Biancocelesti want 10 million Pounds for the right-back.
Juve’s current right-back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Motta-c23718, has failed to live up to the expectations and has been a flop this season. Motta made 11 appearances for the Old Lady and could not establish himself as a main stay of the team.
Lichtsteiner joined http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 from Lille in 2008 and since then, he has made 99 appearances for the club and has scored 3 goals as well. The 27-year-old is well known for his attack minded game and provides his team-mates with tempting crosses in the box.
