Ivanovic out, who is "favored: now?

Question

After her round 2 match, perhaps Ana bowing out isnt too much of a surprise. She couldnt deal with her nerves, too soon I guess, and went down to a former top 30 opponent. However, many upsets have gone on thus far, so she isnt only one. Now though, who do you consider to be the new favorite on the womens side? I would have to think Venus, being the defending champion and winning this 4 times, followed by lil sis, Serena, and Jankovic. In the beginning I didnt favor Jankovic in doing too well, but seeing the courts are playing slower, and favors her game she has to be considered a threat, and one of the remaining favs. However at same time, the way things are going, it would not surprise me to see Vaidisova or Radwanska come out as champion. I have said for months to watch out for Radwanska, and having won Eastbourne, and junior singles titles on grass, she is right up there, and now #11 in world. Vaidisova with her big serve can be a force. Your thoughts?

In my opinion I think that Venus, and Serena Williams will be favouites, and I know that one of them will win!

I don't think Ivanovic was a favourite anyway, but the williams sisters are probably favourites!

Jankovic all the way! Vaidisova is good, but she has some mental issues to solve. Venus is not as strong as she used to be, she makes a lot of unforced errors, her serve is getting worse. Serena is better player now, but I think, judging on the match against Mauremo, that she won't get past Radwanska or some better player. Kuzzy is falling in the next round against Radwanska. Dementieva can win, but her results by now are not impressing. So Jankovic is the best for now...but we will see...How this Wimbledon has started, maybe we'll see unexpected Mattek vs Tanasugarn final or so. :)))

Venus and Serena >>>> I smell a sisters final..... But still there is Jankovic who is playing really good (Huge problem for Venus). In the other half Kuznetsova is still there (Problem for Serena). If they get past that I definitely can see a Sister Final!

Wow, another huge upset on the women's side.  You have to put Venus and Serena as the favorites now, maybe even to meet in another all-Williams final.  But the way things have gone, I'm not going to make any assumptions.  Jankovic and Kuznetsova are also in the hunt, mostly because they're still around, and Vaidisova is surpsrisingly still alive too, so she could be a contender as well.  Maybe this will be like 2004, with another youngster stepping up into the big leagues by winning her first slam.  That could be Radwanska or Szavay.  We'll just have to wait and see.

My favs are Chakvetadze and Vaidisova. I predicted Ivanovic loosing right after Novak lost. They are the two most over rated players on the Tours. Jankovic is more of a worker and should make semi's before loosing. Yeah the Williams look poised to take it unless one of my girls can kick it up a notch and do some damage. Here's hoping.
