Ivanovic vs. Dementieva?

ivanovic has never beaten dementiva and i am pretty dissapointed by her performance in Berlin so far.

but they have never played on clay before. is dementieva good on clay?

well,elena is quite good in her own right on clay....she is a former RG finalist afterall. elena troubles alot of players,already on other surfaces,with her consistency,shotmaking and her ability to turn points around in her favour. and on the slow paced clay,it's especially irritating for everybody that faces her. i think for ana if she wants to win,she needs to keep a cool head...be patient because elena will NOT give it to anyone. i mean,she already upset jankovic who's just a brilliant on the surface as ana. i think it will be close but to me elena has looked really strong this tournament,and ana,i agree,hasn't been as stellar.

Ivanovic has a 0-3 record with Dementieva. But they have never met on clay before. Dementieva defeated Jelena Jankovic in the quarterfinals before and reached the French Open final in 2004. Ivanovic almost lost to Agnes Szavay yesterday, but was able to comeback at 6-3 3-1 after the match was suspended.

My bet goes to Dementieva, say 3 tough sets?

They are both incredible players that are very hard to compare with.

Dementieva is actually always a 50/50 on clay, she has her moments trust me.

Although Ivanovic has a great clay court angle so it does tie up.

I think that possibly Ivanovic will win out fo the two, the reason being is that Dementieva hasn't been her best this year.

But then again, Dementieva has a very odd way and she can surprise the crowd with her moves just like Tsonga. So my call is Ivanaovic but this is only because of Dementieva performance.
