Ive been asked to produce driving documents to police within 7 days ?

But the address i live at now isnt the one on my licence .

Im gonna notify dvla asap but what will happen if i produce my driving docs with a different address on but let the police know the reason why ???

I want to get it resolved asap

You have nothing to worry about, as long as you have valid insurance and MOT, the fact that your licence has a different address, shouldn't matter.

this happend to my auntie as long as your log book an ur insurance are in ur current address thy shud let u off

The Police are more concerned with you not having a licence rather than not having the correct address on the one you do have.  This in itself if an offence with the DVLA and not the Police but its also a common offence as a lot of people don't change the address on their licence or only do so some time after they've moved house.

Go and produce your licence as it is and explain the address issue to the Police who should note it when they take details of your licence.  In the meantime, get the correct form from the post office for changing the address on your licence and send this off to get the details changed after you've produced your licence to the Police.

That happened to me. Technically speaking it is an offence but they won't do anything about it, just plead a bit dumb if they mention it.

It's you they are interested in not your address per se.

make sure you take another form of photo id like a passport and something official with ur current address on like a council tax letter or tax office /benefit letter that sort of thing

I'm sure it will be fine, just explain it to them. My address is old too, haven't got round to changing it yet. wouldn't worry!

Explain to them that you have recently moved and you intend to send your licence off to be changed once they have seen it. Don't worry, as long as you do send it off after that you will be fine.
