  1. Take an Ibuprofen. DO NOT take pain meds before receiving a massage as it dulls your pain senses (so to speak) and the therapist might apply more pressure than needed. This could cause bruising. Also, a sit in a hot tub, bath or hot shower might help.

    Ok.......

    ~ Warm bathes

    ~ Great night of sleep

    ~ Plenty of water

~ "Ground" Yourself when performing massage

~ "Flick" the Energy your receive when performing off of you

~ Totally relax when getting a massage and then drink some water after you have sat up slowly.  No need to get light headed in class.

  3. A very good way ease the discomfort of a deep tissue massage is to take a very warm hot bath using the following things dissolved in the water:  1 cup of Epsom salts, 1/3 cup of baking soda and 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide.  Soak in the tub for at least fifteen minutes and up to one half hour.  This is a therapeutic detox formula that is most helpful.  Be sure to continue to drink as much water as possible and be careful getting out of the bath.  You could feel slightly light headed.  Then try to go to sleep.  You should feel great the next day.   I get regular massage and consider it a necessity for over all good health.  This method was recommended by my doctor who is  very much into "alternative" medicine.  It worked for me. You are detoxing your body and this condition will eventually stop.

  4. The uncomfortableness is a good sign, but you are also detoxing too fast.  You should slow down and take fewer or none at all for a week or so.  I have the same problem.  Drink lots and lots of water with lemon juice, and eat a lot of salads with just lemon juice and olive oil for dressing (no meat or starch for now)--that will help move everything out.  Yoga or swimming will help as well.  You just have to ride it out.
