  1. It said on Sky news, Scotland Today news and the Sun newspaper that clomid does not help yesterday.

I would go and see your doctor about this, with all the stuff that's going on about it. But i certainly won't be taking it if it is recommended.

  2. Clomid FOR MOST PEOPLE is taken on day 3 of your period and you take 5 pills. Then you SHOULD O pretty soon after that get a Ovulation kit at the drug store and start testing about 3 days after your period is over and test until day you get a positive one then baby dance for 3 days .... good luck and lots of baby dust

So sorry that the Dr's are not much help

  3. i was given clomid also and i was told take it on days 3 through 7 even if your period ends continue till your meds are gone

    i hope this helps

  4. i pray 4 u dear,take folic acid

  5. Hi ya,

I have just finished my second round of clomid and IUI.

I was diagnosed with PCOS and had so many tests before finding out what was wrong.  It took a year of testing and my husband was wrongly diagnosed as almost infertile.  They told me that  if i ever were to become pregnant i would loose it.  We later got transfered to a london clinic who done the same tests and we were told that my husband has over and above the average sperm count, and they are all moving in the right direction etc etc. I was then told that i had PCOS.

The reason why i have told you this is because i was led to false information and not enough information.  I am so glad that we got transfered.

Ok here's some information that will help you.

-Day 2 of your cycle take the first tablet.

(Day 2 is the day that you have full flow of blood (not spotting).  If you have a full flow before 6pm that is DAY1, if you have full flow after 6pm, the next day is counted as DAY1).

-When you get to day10 of your cycle start testing for ovualtion.

(You can buy OPK's from boots, superdrug etc)

They give correct and clear instructions (please be aware that some OPK's will differ depending on the brand) Clear Blue is quite good.

-As soon as you get your surge you'll ovulate the day after, have s*x this day, the day of ovulation and the day after ovulation.

Good luck to you sweetheart, but i will say it, maybe asking for more advice at the doctors will be beneficial.

Clomid does work for MOST couples.  All drugs have side effects!!!  The recommended cycles is no more than 6.

If clomid was that bad,it did not work and so on, the best infertility clinics in the UK would not use it.

PS taking folic acid is also a great idea (prenatal for women, you can also get from men as well have all the vitamins and folic acid you need whilst ttc, being pregnant & breast feeding)

  6. Clomid helps some and others it doesn't. Honestly myself I wouldn't be on it for I've heard so many bad things about it! My friend has been on it the past year and half and she still cant get pregnant on it. She is about to give up hope but I've been helping her to hang onto that last string of hope to keep her on it for lil while longer. But maybe you should try to go to a different medicine. Yet alone maybe a completely different clinic!

  7. SB - is miss informed clomid does work !

the study actaully shows people who have couples who are  'unexplained'

not for people who do not ovulate - back up your stupid miss informed claims SB
