  1. Have you ever felt anxious or worried, lonely, or had trouble sleeping? Sometimes when we talk to the doctor about these problems, we get a prescription for sleeping pills or tranquillizers. Although these medications may help us feel better for a short while, they do not solve our problems. Medications that help us feel calm and help us to sleep during a crisis are not meant to be used for more than 7 to 10 days. Instead of taking sleeping pills and tranquillizers, try these healthy ideas.

    I had the same problem :) x

    If you can't sleep:

Make your bedroom more comfortable, keep it cool and quiet.

Get up and do something else. Then, go back to bed.

Drink warm milk or hot water before you go to bed.

Take a warm bath, read a little or listen to some quiet music in the evening.

Get fresh air and exercise during the day, but remember: exercise before bed can keep you awake.

Go to bed and get up at the same time every day.

Don't take naps during the day.

Avoid coffee, tea or soft drinks after 5 p.m.

Don't smoke or drink alcohol in the evening—it can keep you awake.

Don't eat spicy food in the evening.

If you often wake up during the night to go to the bathroom and can't get back to sleep, try not to drink very much before you go to bed.

But remember: if you need to take medication at bedtime, it is best to take pills with a full glass of water.

  2. Natural remedies include warm milk, melatonin, valerian, 5-HTP and others that you can find in a web search for "natural sleep remedies".

Brisk walking for an hour or two every day is good exercise and perhaps that might help.

  3. Any type of physical activity will wear you out. Get outside and walk, run, job, bike, anything to use up some energy.

If I ever have trouble sleeping, I read a book. Then in about 30-60 mins. I get tired, and can go to sleep.

Another thing that I do, is to only think about your breathing.

Lay there with your eyes closed and think "Breath in, breath out.'

In and out only think about breathing in and out. And you will all of a sudden be waking up from having fallen asleep.

Give it a shot. I hope it helps.

  4. Try reverse sycology just think i don't want to sleep and then you fall asleep it really works if not try making sure your relaxed the right temparature and try and have nothing on your mind.

Sometimes it helps to exercise before sleeping sit up and star jumps help and reading calms you down.

    Hope i helped

  5. close your eyes. keep them closed. if you go the whole night without opening your eyes, reward yourself

  6. well you should go running or jogging and do some exercises before you go to bed to make yourself tired

get one of those face masks to put on your eyes, that usually seems to help

and if nothing is working try a tylenol pm

that always knocks me out lol
