If you want it to have a nice rumble you are missing a few cylinders.  If you just took off the cat and did nothing else it probably sounds like c**p though.

you install a cat back on a mx6 and it dont give you the sound you want, so what you have to do to make it sounds louder?

the catality converter absorbs a huge amount of sounds, and the manifolds as well

replace the manifolds with good stainless headers and get high flow catalityc converter



that will make your ride sounds louder
